CLA seeks a Pro Bono Coordinator who will help administer its Private Attorney Involvement (PAI) volunteer programs. CLA oversees volunteer-based programs that provide opportunities for private attorneys from law firms and corporations to volunteer their time to provide legal assistance to CLA's client communities. The coordinator will work in CLA's Worcester office and will assist clients and attorneys participating in CLA's PAI programs. The coordinator will conduct client intakes and administer weekly in-person and remote lawyer-for-the-day programs and pro bono clinics; refer pro bono cases to volunteer attorneys and provide ongoing administrative support to volunteers as needed; open and close cases in a timely manner and maintain contemporaneous records in our case management system; engage in outreach and recruitment of volunteer attorneys; and assist in the coordination and presentation of volunteer training events. The coordinator will also help with the preparation of periodic grant reports. The candidate should have access to reliable transportation and be willing to travel periodically to different parts of CLA's five-county service area. Weekly lawyer-for-the-day programs and routine clinics require attendance outside of normal business hours. Additionally, in an effort to recruit and engage with volunteer attorneys, the candidate will also be required to attend meetings and events outside of normal business hours, including early morning and after hours.
