About The Position

The position involves providing patient transportation services across all departments at HealthPark Medical Center. The individual will be responsible for safely transporting patients to and from various hospital departments, assisting them in moving from wheelchairs to beds, and vice versa. The role requires accurate recording of patient information for EPIC/Hall Pass and ensuring that two forms of patient identification are verified prior to transport. Additionally, the employee will provide interdisciplinary support when not engaged in patient transport, follow established procedures to maintain the hospital's appearance, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient flow by performing miscellaneous duties as requested. Interacting with all customers in a supportive manner is also a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

• Less than High School education required.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) required within the first ninety days of employment.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients to and from hospital departments.
