About The Position

About the Job: The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and safely transporting clients to and from facility programming including appointments, activity trips, airport shuttle service and other special events in a punctual and timely manner. Transports visitors or staff as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
One or more years relevant work experience in behavioral facility required.
Valid and in good standing state driver's license required.

Responsibilities

Oversees all aspects of facility transportation including logistics.
Allocates transport shift activity, ensuring appropriate staff are available to meet planned activity levels.
Ensures facility vehicles are in proper repair at all times, communicating safety and other concerns timely and clearly to the appropriate staff.
Coordinates daily and any on-call schedules to meet client transportation needs.
Responds and adheres to “on call” schedule as required.
Maintains vehicle maintenance schedules and ensures maintenance is completed as required.
Completes all transportation documentation accurately and timely.
Schedules drivers for appropriate runs.
Drives company vehicles to transport clients for admissions, appointments, activity trips, discharges, and other special events as needed.
Drives facility vehicle to pick up supplies and equipment as needed.
Maintains safe transportation practices in accordance with regulatory standards.
Hires, orients, trains, schedules and supervises transportation staff if applicable.
