Saint Louis University's School of Science and Engineering Department: Biomedical Engineering Position Description: The Research Assistant (RA) will support investigations related to tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. The RA will work on projects involving biomaterials and stem cell-based treatments for traumatized muscle and bone tissues. Responsibilities will involve assisting with biomaterial synthesis, stem cell cultures, tissue preservation, histological and biomolecular studies, image analysis, and quantification. The RA will work under the direct mentorship of senior graduate researchers to master specialized laboratory techniques. The RA will report directly to the graduate researchers and the principal investigator and will be expected to maintain meticulous data records and a reproducible electronic lab notebook. Requirements

  • Enrolled in or recently completed a biology, biomedical engineering, biochemistry, or related degree
  • Prior lab coursework or hands‑on lab experience
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols
  • Reliable, organized, and able to work
  • On-Call/PRN/as needed (Summer 2026)
