About The Position

As an Inpatient/Acute Care Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll use evidence-based techniques to transform patients’ lives. Your primary responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients with a diagnosis of stroke, traumatic brain injury, head and neck cancer, and progressive neurological conditions. This role gives you the opportunity for interdisciplinary team collaboration to ensure the best and most evidenced based practice for our patients. Requirements

  • Graduate of a master's degree program in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
  • State Licensure in Speech Language Pathology
  • Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply
  • Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

  • Deliver evidence-based, quality care to each patient to facilitate return home or to next level of care
  • Establish timely treatment plans for each patient’s specific needs
  • Demonstrate a positive connection with patients, patient’s family, fellow clinicians, and other team members
  • Build and maintain relationships with hospital staff (i.e. physicians, case management, nurses, social workers, dietitians, etc.)
