Join us at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital where we have been providing world-class care to our community for over 100 years. Nurses in the Presurgical Unit (PSU) maintain operational flow in the operating rooms to prevent patient delays, conduct pre-surgical texting and express phone calls, assist anesthesia personnel with blocks and check in patients for surgery. You will have the opportunity to deliver exceptional care and enhance each patient’s experience. How You’ll Benefit Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources. A caregiver in this position works PRN (as needed) variable shifts from 5:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS)certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR the American Red Cross
External candidates: two years of recent related nursing experience
Internal candidates with less than two years of experience, but are post-orientation/90-day probationary period, may be considered with CNO level review and approval
Licensed military RN experience will be considered
