Childbirth is one of life’s most special moments. Patients deserve to have a voice in the care they and their baby receive, and Mercy Hospital’s 2A 2C Maternity Unit ensures their voices are heard. This unit strives to give patients the birth experience they want, which may include developing birth plans, skin-to-skin contact, different labor and birthing positions, delayed umbilical cord clamping, focus on the Golden Hour, and more. As an RN on the Labor and Delivery team, you will deliver exceptional care, throughout the patient care journey. In this role, you will circulate and scrub in the Operating Room, train in the OB Emergency Department and cross-train to post-partum, allowing you to interact directly with mom, baby and their families. We realize that flexibility is essential for many caregivers today. That’s why we offer a variety of PRN shift options—including staggered start times, flexible shift lengths, and specialized assignments—to fit your lifestyle. We’re proud to welcome experienced nurses into our caregiver family and are committed to providing the flexibility you need, no matter what life brings. A PRN caregiver in this position works varying nights from 7:00PM – 7:30AM, including weekends and holidays.
