The H71 Digestive Disease General Surgery Unit specializes in complex abdominal surgeries, including total abdominal reconstruction, Whipples, HIPECs, MALs, bowel resections, pancreatectomies and more. As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing this exceptional experience, from initial introduction to final send-off. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their treatment and supply healthcare information as needed. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills. A caregiver in this position works varying shifts from 7:00AM - 3:30PM or 7:00AM – 7:30PM. This position is PRN. PRN is required to work a minimum of 48 hours every 6 weeks.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
External applicants must have two years recent related nursing experience.
Internal applicants with less than two years’ experience but post orientation /90 day probationary period could be considered with Chief Nursing Officer level review and approval.
