About The Position

Cardinal Health Innovative Delivery Solutions has over 45 years of experience in helping hundreds of hospital and outpatient pharmacies, providing access to best practice strategies and tactics to control costs, improve workflow, and enhance safety. This position is located at Sonoma Valley Community Health Center, where pharmacy hours are Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The role is a PRN position covering PTO and as needed coverage, and may require floating to other locations in the area to pick up hours. Cardinal Health is looking for a highly motivated technician to work in a company-owned retail contract pharmacy, playing an important role in delivering medication and pharmaceutical care in communities that are most in need.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent, preferred.
• Licensed Pharmacy Technician in the state of CA required.
• Nationally Certified PTCB preferred.
• 1-2 years of retail pharmacy technician related experience, preferred.
• 340B experience preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional working relationships with pharmacy personnel, physicians, nurses, and other medical personnel.
• Be available to customers/patients at all times and maintain a friendly and helpful attitude.
• Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Organize medications for pharmacist to dispense by profiling prescriptions, preparing labels, and calculating quantities.
• Ensure medication availability by delivering medications to patients and ordering when needed.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Work with pharmacy team to ensure best practices are being followed with regards to 340B.
