The Radiologic Technologist provides clinical services according to radiology practice standards to ensure optimal department functions. This role requires demonstrating skills and knowledge in the use of all x-ray equipment and performance of all x-ray protocols and procedures. The technologist must demonstrate technical proficiency in producing high-quality exams within the appropriate length of time for the procedure. Additionally, the technologist must maintain a satisfactory working knowledge of PACS and, if needed, review scans with the Radiologists regarding important anatomic detail and areas of abnormalities. Confirming patient identity, body part, and body side for every patient prior to the procedure is essential.
