The Pre-Admission Testing RN (PAT RN) is responsible for preparing patients for surgery by conducting pre-admission assessments, including physical examinations, medical history reviews, and diagnostic tests. This role reports to the PreOp/PACU Charge Nurse and works closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals. Peer roles include PACU RN and Surgical RN. The PAT RN ensures patients are informed about their procedures, addresses any concerns, and coordinates care plans to optimize surgical outcomes.
