About The Position

The PRN Pharmacist position requires someone who can cover one weekend a month and ideally have some weekday availability for coverage during time off. The role involves various pharmacy functions and responsibilities critical to patient care in a hospital setting.

Requirements

• Education: B.S. in pharmacy from a college accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Evaluation.
• Licensure: Must possess current Virginia License issued by the board of Pharmacy.
• Experience: Two to five years of prior experience in a hospital pharmacy with knowledge of specialized functions of hospital pharmacies.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all pharmacy functions, execution of drug dosing, monitoring protocols and provision of drug information.
• Distribution of patient medication according to physician orders.
• Maintain formulary/drug list and availability of medication, supplies and equipment.
