About the position
The PRN Pharmacist position at Genoa Healthcare involves providing pharmaceutical care to patients within the behavioral health and addiction treatment communities. This role focuses on processing prescriptions, ensuring compliance with pharmacy laws, and delivering exceptional customer service. The pharmacist will work as part of a coordinated care team to support patients in managing their medications and treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners
- Provides information to customers about medications and their use
- Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service
- Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy
- Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy
- Performs any other usual and customary pharmacy duties
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
- Current pharmacist license in state of West Virginia
- Certified immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 3 months of hire
Nice-to-haves
- Current pharmacist license in Washington, DC, Virginia, or Maryland
