About The Position

HCA Healthcare Pathology Services and their West Florida Division is seeking a PRN pathologist to provide floating coverage at our hospitals in the North Market which includes coverage at HCA Florida Citrus Hospital, HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital, HCA Florida Trinity Hospital, and HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital. HCA Healthcare Pathology Services employs over 200 board certified multispecialty pathologists nationwide and provides professional services to over 100 HCA Healthcare owned hospitals as well as commercial clients. Our physician partners are a key component to our success and we work closely with them to achieve the most favorable patient outcomes.

Requirements

• AP/CP certification or board eligibility.
• Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain.
• Comfortable with the full scope of AP and CP for community hospital practice.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide floating coverage at multiple hospitals in the North Market.
• Handle a wide range of surgical pathology specimens.
• Manage cytology cases primarily consisting of non-GYN specimens, thyroid FNA's, and lung FNA's.
• Conduct clinical pathology tasks including peripheral smears and blood bank reviews.
