About The Position
Physicians Surgery Center is a leading ambulatory surgery center committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a safe and cost-effective setting. We specialize in same-day outpatient procedures, partnering with area clinics to provide a more convenient and affordable alternative to hospital-based surgeries. Our board-certified physicians use state-of-the-art equipment and advanced techniques, supported by a skilled team of registered nurses and surgical technicians. We are licensed by the State of Tennessee, accredited by the American Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, and proudly serve as a member of the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association. The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
- Active RN license in the state
- BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
- Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
- Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
Nice To Haves
- 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
