As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide wide-ranging services to help patients regain their ability to perform normal activities, self-care and responsibilities. In this role, you will focus on maximizing their treatment outcomes and assisting them in relearning necessary skills to lead independent, productive and satisfying lives. A caregiver in this position works PRN (as needed) shifts. Must have availability Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association
  • Current Ohio licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross for Healthcare providers
  • Must have availability Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

  • Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient’s condition.
  • Establishes, revises, and evaluates a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient/family according to their capabilities and desires.
  • Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard occupational therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age and condition of the patient.
  • Supervises activities of occupational therapist assistants, students, and other support personnel.
  • Always maintains complete and up-to-date documentation and files regarding patient condition and effectiveness and timeliness of care and interventions.
  • Participate in ongoing interdisciplinary assessment of assigned patients.
  • Participates as a member of the hospice interdisciplinary team when necessary.
