About The Position

TMC Bonham Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital that includes both primary care and specialty physicians. The Critical Access Hospital, offering both inpatient and outpatient services along with 24-hour emergency services. The Critical Access Hospital (CAH) Program was established to assure access to healthcare services for rural residents. The program provides rural acute care hospitals with a range of opportunities for service enhancement and quality of care improvement. Quality healthcare and patient safety is our goal. TMC Bonham is managed by Texoma Medical Center, subsidiary of UHS. The Occupational Therapy Assistant works under the supervision and guidance of a occupational therapist, carries out each assigned patient's established plan of care utilizing therapeutic modalities and techniques. Completes documentation related to care provided, communicating to supervising therapist and team members on a timely basis. In the Activities Therapist role provides for an ongoing program of activities designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each patient.

Requirements

  • Minimum education per licensure requirement.
  • Licensed by the State of Texas required.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines must be completed during new hire orientation prior to working in a clinical setting.
  • Must be able to commute between facilities in a timely manner.
  • Strong knowledge of advanced therapy skills and competencies.
  • Demonstrates a caring, friendly & professional attitude & the ability to encourage & support others.
  • Must be able to communicate & work effectively with people of differing educational & cultural backgrounds.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
