The PRN Occupational Therapist provides specific occupational therapy services aimed at assisting the patient in regaining an optimal level of function in activities of daily living, occupational requirements, fine motor abilites and cognitive/perceptual skills. The PRN Occupational Therapist provides individualized care based upon the needs of the patient and family. The minimum requirement is to work 2 weekend days per month. Shifts available during the week as well.

Requirements

Must possess a high school diploma or GED
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy
Meet all requirements of The Maryland State Board of OT Examiners, and be licensed by this regulatory agency with an OTR license.
Level C CPR certification for healthcare providers
Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel
Microsoft Outlook
Epic (if applicable to position)
Performance Manager/NetLearning
Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following:
Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.
Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
Acute care rehab services: ADL treatment, therapeutic exercises, orthotic fabrication and monitoring, cognitive and perceptual activities, occupational assessment and retraining, prosthetic training
Must be able to type 30 WPM
Must have clear understanding of medical/rehabilitation language and abbreviations

Nice To Haves

Prefer experience in acute care hospital setting, but the department would be willing to provide training if it's a good fit
