About The Position

The PRN Nursing Supervisor at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital plays a crucial role in ensuring appropriate staffing and serving as a resource for nursing staff. Requirements

• BSN required, MSN preferred.
• 3-5 years of previous job-related experience, 6-10 years preferred.
• Minimum of three years hospital nursing experience.
• 1-2 years of managerial experience.
• Charge nurse or nursing supervisor experience required.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required.
• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification required.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Illinois.

Nice To Haves

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification preferred.
• CPI training highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with unit leadership to ensure appropriate staffing during assigned shifts.
• Serve as a liaison between nursing and other departments.
• Provide consultation to Nurse Managers on administrative issues.
• Confer with nursing staff individually as patient or staff needs dictate.
• Communicate with the Hospital Administrator on-call regarding various problems.
• Evaluate nursing care activities of each unit throughout the shift.
• Resolve complexities of bed allocation.
