Cleveland Clinic supports the growth, development and advancement of nurses through their career and as a Nursing Operations Manager, you will make a difference in the lives of both patients and caregivers at a leadership level. In this role, you will round on units to understand the current state regarding patient assignments as well as document pertinent information regarding staffing. It will be your goal to ensure safe staffing and that patients are being placed under the right scope of care. A PRN caregiver in this position works varying days and hours between 7:00AM – 7:30PM or 7:00PM – 7:30AM, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Three years of experience in an acute care setting
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

Nice To Haves

  • One year of management experience
  • Charge nurse experience

Responsibilities

  • Identify and ensure appropriate placement, facilitation and expedition of all patient flow transactions, including direct and emergency patient admissions and transfers, in accordance with established clinical standards and knowledge of disease entities.
  • Address significant patient issues throughout the house and communicate with relevant leaders.
  • Handle staffing needs and make modifications to ensure equitable staffing arrangements throughout the hospital.
  • Manage the patient experience trans-organizationally to optimize all resources to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
  • Monitor and adhere to annual hospital operating budget.
  • Approve or monitor expenditures, purchases and other actions to insure compliance with budget guidelines.
