About The Position

We are seeking a PRN Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, clinically confident, and experienced in urgent care, with a strong interest in occupational medicine. 8 hours per week required (Tues, Wed, Fri) This role provides care to a diverse patient population and includes both urgent care and occupational health services. Requirements

  • Active West Virginia NP or PA license
  • BLS Certification
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Minimum 4 years of urgent care or emergency medicine experience
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • EMR experience preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Occupational medicine experience preferred
  • NRCME / CDL-DOT Physicals certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients presenting for urgent care and occupational medicine
  • Perform assessments, diagnoses, treatment, and management of acute illnesses and injuries
  • Deliver occupational health services, including work-related injury care and employment physicals
  • Promote health and conduct general evaluations of patient health status
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests and radiographic studies (including X-rays)
  • Diagnose and treat sprains, strains, fractures, and minor injuries
  • Perform suturing, wound care, and basic procedures
  • Refer patients to primary care or specialty providers as appropriate
  • Accurately document care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
