About The Position

UCHealth Mountain Crest Behavioral Health Center has an excellent opportunity for a PRN Family Nurse Practitioner who possesses empathy, talent, drive, and a 'patients first' mentality. Our ideal candidate is a good communicator, works well both autonomously and in a team environment, and is adaptable. The candidate will contribute to the multidisciplinary inpatient psychiatric team by providing care for patients with identified medical needs, complete admission history and physicals for all inpatient psychiatric patients ages 13 and older, and manage ongoing acute and chronic medical needs including transfer to a higher level of care if needed. This is a 24/7 facility including weekends and holidays covering hours between 8AM - 8PM. The candidate must be comfortable working both independently and on diverse teams and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing and graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) or Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN).
• Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license issued by the State Board of Nursing in the state of Colorado or compact privileges under the multi-state Nurse Licensure Compact agreement.
• Unrestricted medical staff membership, with appropriate practice privileges.
• Provisional prescriptive authority working towards full prescriptive authority or Full prescriptive authority.
• Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed in practice.
• Eligible to provide services reimbursable services and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
