The Nuclear Medicine Technologist operates advanced imaging equipment, processes and evaluates acquired data, and ensures a seamless patient experience from start to finish.

Requirements

  • Licensed Nuclear Medicine Technologist with prior solo work experience
  • Comfortable managing workflow independently in an outpatient setting
  • Detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and patient-centered
  • Strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
  • Team-oriented mindset with the confidence to work autonomously
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Junior College/Technical School
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine or the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Society
  • Basic CPR Certification
  • 1 Year of Nuclear Medicine Experience

  • 2 Years of Nuclear Medicine Experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures independently using radiation-detecting instrumentation
  • Process images, complete computer analysis, and provide data for physician interpretation
  • Obtain patient history, explain procedures clearly, and answer patient questions
  • Monitor patients throughout procedures and document relevant observations
  • Maintain radiation safety, infection control, and patient safety protocols
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and Corporate Compliance standards
  • Communicate pertinent findings and patient information to the Radiologist
  • Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and sound clinical judgment
  • Perform IV/venipuncture as required
