About The Position

Apalachee Center, Inc. is best known for helping individuals and families of North Florida succeed in recovering from emotional, psychiatric, and substance abuse crises. Apalachee Center, Inc. provides comprehensive behavioral health services across 8 counties (Franklin, Gadsden, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Taylor, and Wakulla Counties). Overview: unit procedures. Assists patients in activities of daily living, assists in implementing treatment plans and provides supportive contact with patients.

Requirements

A high school diploma or its equivalent.
Must obtain and maintain current CPR, First Aid, and CPI certifications.
Must possess current, valid driver’s license and maintain Apalachee Designated Auto Driver status

Nice To Haves

Minimum of one (1) year of related work experience in a patient care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

By the first of each month, provides the Scheduling Coordinator with availability for the following month.
Works, or is available to work, a minimum of three (3) shifts or one (1) weekend per week and at least one holiday per year.
Willingly and cooperatively works on units assigned. Demonstrates a positive, supportive, respectful attitude while working.
Supervises residents during program activities, meals, fresh-air breaks/recreation and all unscheduled times. Supervises residents on special observation/precautionary status levels as assigned by supervisor.
