Requirements
- Certified Medical Assistant credential (required)
- 1+ years working with EMR systems (required)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and a passion for patient care
Nice To Haves
- 1+ years of experience with vital signs (preferred)
- BLS Certification (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Assist the Nurse Practitioner with minor procedures
- Assess conditions and provide preventative care and patient education
- Take vital signs and document accurately in our EMR system
- Verify insurance and collect payment from patients
- Greet patients, manage check-ins, and handle scheduling at the front desk
- Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and coordinate with the care team
- Support a smooth, welcoming experience for patients and staff
- Ability to travel to our Jackson and Vicksburg clinics as needed
