Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting as a Medical Assistant or similar role.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and practices related to dermatology.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to manage sensitive patient information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a dynamic work environment.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic office software.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medical history.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments are available.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with regulations.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage communication to optimize patient flow.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and proper skincare practices.
- Ensure examination rooms are clean and organized, fully stocked with necessary supplies.
- May participate in supporting the clinic’s social media presence, including gathering content, sharing clinic-approved updates, and assisting with community engagement efforts as directed
