About The Position
The Primary Care Medical Assistant position at Olive/Mason is a PRN role focused on supporting healthcare providers by preparing patients for their visits. This includes completing the Advanced Standard room process, which involves entering the chief complaint, taking vital signs, reviewing patient history and allergies, and conducting thorough medication reconciliations. The Medical Assistant will also work with the Encounter Guide to address any open care gaps, recheck elevated blood pressures, and complete necessary documentation in Epic for yearly preventative visits. Additionally, the role involves assisting with in-office testing such as drawing blood, conducting mental status exams, performing EKGs, and administering vaccines and injections within the scope of practice. The Medical Assistant will also schedule follow-up appointments and collaborate with providers and the clinical care team to monitor and coordinate the delivery of care plans.
