In addition to general pediatric care, caregivers also have special interests in a number of childhood-related developmental issues, conditions and diseases. As an LPN on this pediatrics team, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing this exceptional, top-quality care. Some of your daily responsibilities will include rooming patients, processing in-basket items, administrative tasks, and more. In this role, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, all while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and numerous educational resources offered within the Cleveland Clinic system. A caregiver in this position works PRN (as needed) variable shifts.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Program
- Current Florida licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- Knowledge of Infection Control Practices
- Experience with technology
- Computer literacy

Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to patients.
- Administer medication.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation in medical records and files.
- Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions.
- Implement pain management assessments and documentation.
- Perform patient teaching as needed under the supervision of RN/Physician.
- Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO.
- Follow Code Blue protocol.
