About The Position

The Rehab Tech provides assistance to all In-Patient Rehab Staff in the provision of care to patients and in associated non-direct care tasks that are performed on a daily/weekly basis in the department. The Rehab Tech provides individualized care based upon the needs of the patient and family, as directed by the licensed therapists in the department, and in the boundaries set forth by the Maryland State Practice Acts for physical and occupational therapy.

Requirements

  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in positions with significant exposure to health care/serving the public is very helpful.
  • Level C CPR certification for health care providers.
  • Ability to provide age-specific care for pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with Microsoft Word, Power Point, Access, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Epic, and HealthStream.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English in an understandable manner.
  • Ability to work independently and make independent decisions when necessary.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
  • Flexibility, personal integrity, and ability to function effectively as a team member.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
