About The Position

Healix Infusion Therapy is seeking a PRN Infusion Nurse to coordinate and administer patient care services at one of our Office Infusion Centers located in Naples, FL. As an Infusion Nurse, you will have the opportunity to provide clinical services in a specialty facility. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in nursing (ADN).
  • Recent intravenous administration and catheter management experience.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently at the site location, and in-partnership with the corporate clinical team, and within physician practice expectations.
  • State Board of Nursing Licensed; active and unencumbered.
  • Valid basic life support (BLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years’ experience working as a registered nurse in a clinical setting.
  • Critical care or outpatient/homecare infusion experience.
  • CRNI, VA-BC, OCN certification.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate new patient admissions with the support of the corporate nursing and business office teams.
  • Access PICC lines for administration of intravenous medication.
  • Prepare medication to be administered to patients in an infusion center setting.
  • Educate patients and caregivers regarding infusion drug therapy information.
  • Monitor patient treatment, progression, safety, and outcomes clinically.
  • Communicate care with practice staff, corporate nursing support team, business office, and client services to ensure patients receive the highest level of care.
  • Manage onsite nursing functions including patient scheduling, daily service charting, inventory management, and coordination of follow-up care with physicians.
  • Communicate with clients and fellow employees through written and verbal forms, clearly and timely.
  • Interact professionally with clients and fellow employees.
  • Cooperate with team members to accomplish departmental goals.
  • Accept and incorporate changes or new ideas into daily work.
  • Provide service in a responsive, timely and accurate manner to both clients and fellow employees.
  • Understand and adhere to policies and procedures.
  • Arrive at work as scheduled and notify supervisors in a timely manner of any absences.
