Requirements

Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited program required
Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in good standing with the Kentucky Board of Nursing
Minimum 1 year of infusion care experience as an advanced practice clinician, or equivalent nursing experience
Proficiency in IV therapy, including peripheral lines, PICCs, and port access
Current CPR certification
Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across disciplines
High attention to detail, especially in documentation and compliance
A patient-first mindset with a commitment to professionalism and ethical practice
Comfort with EMR systems and advanced computer proficiency

Responsibilities

Administering and overseeing prescribed infusion therapies in accordance with provider orders, facility protocols, and INS guidelines
Performing comprehensive patient assessments and reassessments at each visit, including patient and caregiver education
Interpreting subjective and objective data to formulate differential diagnoses and interpret lab and diagnostic results
Developing and implementing individualized patient treatment plans
Coordinating care across the patient's healthcare team, including physicians, pharmacists, nursing, and reimbursement specialists
Documenting all patient encounters accurately and timely, including CC, HPI, ROS, histories, medications, vital signs, PE, ICD-10 and CPT codes, and plan of care
Maintaining patient records in compliance with HIPAA and applicable accreditation standards
Facilitating referrals to other healthcare professionals and facilities as appropriate
Participating in the on-call program as needed, including after-hours, weekend, and holiday coverage
Supporting quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and care outcomes
