Requirements

  • Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited program required
  • Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in good standing with the Kentucky Board of Nursing
  • Minimum 1 year of infusion care experience as an advanced practice clinician, or equivalent nursing experience
  • Proficiency in IV therapy, including peripheral lines, PICCs, and port access
  • Current CPR certification
  • Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across disciplines
  • High attention to detail, especially in documentation and compliance
  • A patient-first mindset with a commitment to professionalism and ethical practice
  • Comfort with EMR systems and advanced computer proficiency

Responsibilities

  • Administering and overseeing prescribed infusion therapies in accordance with provider orders, facility protocols, and INS guidelines
  • Performing comprehensive patient assessments and reassessments at each visit, including patient and caregiver education
  • Interpreting subjective and objective data to formulate differential diagnoses and interpret lab and diagnostic results
  • Developing and implementing individualized patient treatment plans
  • Coordinating care across the patient's healthcare team, including physicians, pharmacists, nursing, and reimbursement specialists
  • Documenting all patient encounters accurately and timely, including CC, HPI, ROS, histories, medications, vital signs, PE, ICD-10 and CPT codes, and plan of care
  • Maintaining patient records in compliance with HIPAA and applicable accreditation standards
  • Facilitating referrals to other healthcare professionals and facilities as appropriate
  • Participating in the on-call program as needed, including after-hours, weekend, and holiday coverage
  • Supporting quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and care outcomes
