About The Position

Raleigh General Hospital is seeking a PRN III RN for the Emergency Room in Beckley, West Virginia. This position is part of a 300 bed facility that cares for nearly 13,000 patients each year, with over 50,000 treated in the emergency room. The role involves ensuring optimum quality patient care by serving as a resource for other staff members, patients, and families, while also coordinating patient care with other departments and assisting physicians. The RN will be responsible for performing assessments, planning nursing care, intervening appropriately, and evaluating the care process. The position reports to the Director of Emergency Services.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Program in Discipline - Required.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Current licensure by WV State Board of Nursing.
• Previous experience in clinical trauma care preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - to be obtained within 30 days.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - to be obtained within 1 year from date of hire.
• TNCC or ITLS - to be obtained within 1 year from date of hire.
• PALS - to be obtained within 1 year from date of hire.
