About The Position

West Virginia University Health System (SMG) seeks a part-time Hospitalist Physician. The successful candidate will be expected to practice at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Grant Memorial Hospital is committed to leading the way to better healthcare for Grant County – always striving for excellence. Founded in 1958, Grant Memorial Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital located in Petersburg, West Virginia. The hospital serves a multi-county area with a wide range of healthcare services, including a 24/7, 13-bed Emergency Department; Surgical Care Clinic; Orthopedic Clinic; Cancer Center; Primary Care Clinic; and the only Birthing Center in a five-county region. Petersburg is a progressive and picturesque community located in the Potomac Highlands; it’s nestled in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia and known for its world-class trout fishing and hiking opportunities. Requirements

Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent
State medical license and DEA registration is required by start date.
Successful candidate must have completed Internal Medicine residency program.
Successful candidates must be board certified / eligible in Internal Medicine.
All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Internal Medicine.
In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
