UVA Community Health is seeking to employ an PRN Inpatient Hospitalist NP or PA to join our rapidly growing provider team at Prince William Medical Center. In early 2014, we opened UVA Health System Haymarket Medical Center, a new 60-bed community hospital in Haymarket and for those in the Culpeper area, you’ll benefit from UVA Health System Culpeper Medical Center, our 70-bed, community hospital, Family Birth Center and 24/7 emergency department nearby. Responsibilities
- Visiting bedside and answering questions
- Ordering tests, medications and treatments
- Communicating with patients, their families and their primary care physician on condition and care
- Consulting with additional specialists, as needed
- Providing discharge instructions about further care, medication and follow-up
- Sending a hospital care summary to your primary care physician
