Requirements

  • A Master's degree in a social services discipline is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a social services discipline can be considered if the candidate is one year from completing a Master's degree.
  • One year experience counseling adolescents in a clinical setting.
  • Degrees that can be considered include: social work, drug and alcohol education or counseling, psychology, criminal justice, guidance counseling, or marriage and family therapy.
  • Experience with the Foster Care System is preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and oral skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule.
  • Must have a personal vehicle for work purposes and liability insurance.
  • Acceptable driving record - Three or fewer moving violations within the past 36 months.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between the child and the court, advocating for the best needs of the child.
  • Provide services to the entire family, rather than just the identified youth.
  • Work hands-on with the family to build trust and align them with treatment.
  • Manage a caseload of 8-10 families.
  • Deliver services in the family's home or other locations (school, court, etc.) with a flexible schedule.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Complete documentation that is online/web-based and accessible from home.
  • Meet with supervisors at least three times per week to discuss progress and personal development.
  • Assist with transportation for visitations.
