About The Position

Canyon Creek Behavioral Health is a 102-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful Central Texas town of Temple, Texas. Canyon Creek features individual units for adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care and intensive outpatient programs. Requirements

  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in direct mental health service provision (outpatient psychiatric health care preferred).
  • Direct experience in case management, family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills.
  • Current and active state licensure as a LPC-I, LPC, LPC-A, LMFT-A, LMFT, LMSW or LCSW.
  • Timely renewal of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (Basic Life Support) for healthcare professional’s certification.
  • Annual professional skills verification.
  • HWC (Handle with Care) behavioral management certification.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual and family assessments.
  • Develop and implement therapeutic treatment plans as part of an inter-disciplinary team.
  • Consult with psychiatrists, medical doctors, or other specialists concerning treatment plans and amend plans as necessary.
  • Develop and facilitate prescribed clinical services.
  • Document interventions along with patient responses and progress.
  • Provide referrals to outside resources.
  • Support the clinical department’s ongoing initiatives, including monitoring, quality improvement projects, patient outcome processes, and positive onboarding of department personnel.
  • Maintain service delivery to state licensing and JCAHO accreditation standards.
