About The Position

The CT Technologist performs CT scans, providing the highest level of customer service and image quality. They are responsible for preparing patients and equipment for exams, which includes gathering patient history, explaining procedures, and starting IVs for contrast administration. The technologist also coordinates patient flow, professionally communicates with patients and physicians, and maintains departmental work areas. They are expected to adhere to quality and performance improvement plans and support ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles to ensure patient safety.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • Current ARRT certification with advanced registry, or registry eligible with advanced CT certification within 1 year of hire or within 6 months of eligibility.
  • BLS certification is required.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of post-graduate experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT exams following protocols in a timely manner.
  • Prepare procedure trays and use the power injector for contrast administration.
  • Complete all necessary documentation and check the daily schedule to ensure all exams are complete.
  • Contribute to after-hours coverage through on-call shift rotations.
  • Maintain all required licenses, certifications, and accreditations.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, and treatment appropriate to the ages of patients served.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
