About The Position

PRN Critical Care APP- MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital, a proud member of MedStar Health, is a 182-bed full-service acute care facility located 30 minutes South of D.C. We currently have a PRN APP opportunity to work in our critical care unit located in Clinton, MD. This position offers you the opportunity to work in a community hospital but have access to the resources provided by a large healthcare system. MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital has a high volume of cardiac patients including Intra-Aortic Balloon pump management, Pulmonary Arterial catheter placement and management along with Advanced Heart Failure services. In the inpatient setting, you will provide primary coverage for patients in an 18-bed mixed IMC/ICU setting. The provider will work within the hospital setting, admitting patients, performing physical exams, ordering tests, diagnosing, performing hospital rounds, and planning for discharge, while following all established policies for maintenance and signing of medical records, contributing to the achievement of department goals, and adhering to policies, procedures, and quality and safety standards.
