About The Position

We have an opportunity for a PRN Child Life Assistant. Hours will be 10am to 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The hours may vary slightly based on patient needs. We invite you to become a part of our great team here in Child Life.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• BLS certification or obtained within 3 months
• Excellent computer, communication, organizational, prioritization and telephone skills
• Availability to work on the weekends

Nice To Haves

• Basic knowledge of child development
• Ability to build rapport quickly with children and families of diverse cultures
• Bilingual preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides opportunities for the patient to gain a sense of mastery of play.
• Facilitates learning and self-expression for patients.
• Encourages family involvement and peer interaction based on guidance from the Child Life Specialist.
