About The Position

The Sterile Processing Technician maintains and cares for all surgical instruments. Prepares supplies and instruments for surgery cases. At USPI, we create relationships that create better care. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of Sterile Processing experience
  • Experience with all types of sterilizers
  • Knowledge of operating room instrumentation and procedures
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a Sterile Process Certification program is preferred
