About The Position

The position is for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Lee Memorial Hospital in the Progressive Care Unit B. The role involves providing patient care duties under the guidance and direction of a nurse. Responsibilities include implementing components of the plan of care through various procedures related to basic human needs, mental health, social needs, comfort, safety, and emergency measures. The CNA will assist with activities of daily living, personal care needs, nutrition, fluid, and elimination needs. The position may also involve access to and transport of non-controlled medications as directed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of a State Approved, CNA Education Program required (120 hours of academic studies and clinical training; 165 hours preferred in Acute Care).
• Previous CNA work experience preferred; or new graduate CNA with clinical training.
• Proof of American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Current Florida CNA Certification or a transferrable CNA certification from another state.
