The Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) will work in a 30-bed Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) that provides care for patients post interventional electrophysiology procedures, including ablations and pacemakers, as well as those with respiratory failure and high acuity cardiac care needs. This role functions as a step-down intermediate care unit, meeting the acute care patient needs. The position includes EKG Class, ACLS, and residency classes, with a comprehensive program supported by a primary preceptor. A floating charge nurse is available for support on every shift, which operates 7 days a week. The CNA will be required to work a minimum of 24 hours off shift per 6-week schedule, with 12-hour shifts during the day, evening, or night, including weekends and holidays as needed. Shift and weekend differentials are also available.
