About The Position

Monitors, educates and counsels patients/participants enrolled in lifestyle modification programs such as cardiopulmonary rehab and other primary/secondary prevention programs. This is a PRN position. At Valley View, our mission is to provide convenient, connected care to the communities of Western Colorado with scope, technology, and expertise that are rarely found in regional hospitals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in health-related field (e.g., exercise science, nursing) required
• Certification related to field (e.g., ACSM, ACE, AACUPR)
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association with card in-hand before start date required
• Demonstrated ability in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation and lifestyle modification skills
• Demonstrated ability in interpersonal communication (verbal and written) skills.
• Demonstrated ability in computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office
• 1-2 years of experience minimum

Nice To Haves

• Master’s Degree preferred
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association with card in-hand before start date preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Diabetes Care/Prevention experience preferred.
