About The Position

The PRN Assessment Therapist is responsible for completing timely, high-quality biopsychosocial assessments for patients entering or currently in treatment. This position provides flexible, as-needed support to ensure smooth and accurate clinical intake processes. Working closely with the clinical and medical teams, the Assessment Therapist contributes to the development of individualized treatment plans by identifying patient needs and diagnoses from the outset of care.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field
  • Active and unrestricted licensure (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LMHC, or equivalent); associate-level licensure may be considered with appropriate supervision.
  • At least 1 year of experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment preferred
  • Ability to work independently and complete documentation efficiently
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical workflows
  • Strong interpersonal communication and clinical interviewing skills
  • Must be committed to a drug-free lifestyle and responsible alcohol use
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Complete biopsychosocial assessments for new admissions and current patients as assigned
  • Conduct structured clinical interviews to collect relevant psychological, social, medical, legal, and substance use history
  • Document all assessments accurately and promptly in the electronic health record system (EHR)
  • Occasionally assist in developing individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support appropriate placement and treatment planning
  • Provide clinical impressions and communicate findings during team reviews or staffing
  • Ensure assessments are completed in accordance with regulatory and documentation standards
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical clinical practices at all times
  • Be available for flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
  • Perform other related clinical tasks or documentation support as requested
