About The Position

Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay is currently hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) for The Hoy Center. The HOY Center encompasses Westminster Canterbury's Long Term Care (LTC) and Rehab. Our Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) work within The Hoy Center to provide the highest quality of patient care, in a cheerful and friendly manner. Our CNAs report to the Team Leader and provide prompt and proper care to assigned residents which may include assistance with grooming, bathing, feeding, hygiene, toileting, transferring, ambulation, checking vitals, and other responsibilities. Our CNA's provide a holistic approach and provide care for our resident's physical AND emotional wellbeing to provide holistic care to carry out our mission to create community to foster joy and well-being.

Requirements

• Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of VA
• One (1) year of practical field experience, preferred
• CPR certification (or must obtain within the first 60 days of employment)
• A strong desire to care for the elderly population

Nice To Haves

• Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and proper care to assigned residents
• Assist with grooming, bathing, feeding, hygiene, toileting, transferring, and ambulation
• Check vitals and report any changes to the Team Leader
• Support the physical and emotional wellbeing of residents
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure quality care
