About The Position

The Lead House Position offers a unique opportunity for a part-time House Manager at a transitional housing program, providing free room and board in exchange for managing the facility and supporting residents. This role is designed for individuals passionate about making a difference in the community, particularly in assisting women in their transition to permanent housing.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of organization skills, payroll processing, bookkeeping, marketing on social media, creating flyers, and fundraising experience is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
  • Familiarity with community resources and services for transitional housing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop individualized service plans for each resident.
  • Monitor residents' progress and provide feedback and encouragement.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility, including maintenance, chores, room inspections, and house meetings.
  • Manage inventory and supplies for the property.
  • Handle crisis situations that may arise among residents, such as conflicts or emergencies.
  • Implement appropriate crisis intervention strategies and protocols.
  • Coordinate with external agencies or emergency services as needed.
  • Develop partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and service providers to support residents.
  • Organize community events, workshops, or activities for residents.
  • Advocate for residents' needs and rights within the community.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident information, progress, and services provided.
  • Complete case notes in the database and collect documentation.
  • Participate in the development and evaluation of programs and services offered at the transitional housing program.
  • Identify areas for improvement and propose solutions to enhance the program's effectiveness.
