About The Position

The Private Market Associate is responsible for focusing on increasing Stifel's revenue by identifying and establishing new Private Equity business. The Private Market Associate will support one or more Financial Advisors with the growth of their underlying business using targeted marketing strategies to introduce prospective clients to the firm. This role allows for exposure and access to several top-performing Private Equity investment strategies. The Private Market Associate will be communicating with domestic and international investors. The Private Market Associate will also be taught to make contact with professional institutions and assist in introducing these institutions to the investment team. This position will support Stifel's growth strategy by pursuing, establishing, and maintaining relationships with potential clients.

Requirements

  • Strong background in developing and analyzing competitive strategies.
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify complex problems, review related information, develop options, and implement solutions.
  • Ability to demonstrate a proactive approach to problem resolution, strong troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum Required: 2+ years of financial service or product-related experience.
  • Minimum Required: FINRA Securities Industry Essentials, Series 7 and Series 66 Licenses or ability to be fully licensed within six months.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and establish a new private equity business.
  • Research all aspects of underlying products to develop and execute targeted marketing strategies.
  • Develop a pipeline of prospective clients through industry-related events, networking opportunities, and social media presence.
  • Collaborate with Financial Advisors to implement processes to generate new business.
  • Source, develop, and maintain a contact list of prospective clients using Salesforce technology.
  • Implement processes to select client leads and make the sales process more efficient.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of business presentations and proposals.
  • Promote local brand recognition through firm-approved marketing campaigns.
