DigiStream Investigations, a fast-growing, national private investigation firm, is seeking a talented addition to their investigative team in Polk County, FL. This isn’t a desk job; being a Surveillance Investigator means a career with excitement, travel, autonomy, and purpose. This role is meant for an individual with an adventurous and curious spirit, and the drive to provide clients with the evidence they need to defend their cases. A typical day involves monitoring, following, and videotaping subjects as they conduct their day-to-day activities, including vehicle and foot pursuit while maintaining cover. Activities vary widely, from filming at a grocery store or restaurant to a sporting event or casino. Investigators are also responsible for crafting pre-surveillance strategies based on location and case details, writing detailed reports on observed/captured activities, submitting video evidence, and regularly communicating with their team leader on setup positions, activity, and tactics. The position does not require a daily commute to an office or motor pool, as the surveillance vehicle is entrusted to the investigator and kept at their residence, with travel to and from assignments beginning and ending at the residence.
