About The Position

Hospital 2 procedure rooms with 5 recovery beds. Surgery Center has 2 procedure rooms and 6 recovery beds. Nurses do procedure reports at the surgery center. Traditional Inpatient/Outpatient opportunity. Outpatient clinic 2.5 days per week. 1:3 call very light. Hospital census is less than 10, Robust Hospitalist program. You will have a dedicated NP to round and do notes. EMR Office ECW/ Hospital EPIC. ERCP/EUS preferred but not required. Established support team MA’s, CAN, RN. Techs, Secretaries and Schedulers. Exceptional administrative support. Support/Mentorship. Research opportunities are currently available doing over 15 research trials: Gastroparesis, GERD, EoE, Mash, Alcoholic Liver Disease, Cirrhosis, Hepatitis C. 5 Study coordinators in research division. 0.2 Miles from The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus, Only Hospital.

Requirements

• Board certification in Gastroenterology
• Experience with ERCP/EUS preferred but not required
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform procedures in hospital and surgery center
• Manage inpatient and outpatient care
• Participate in a light call schedule (1:3)
• Round and document with the support of a dedicated NP
• Engage in research trials and studies
• Collaborate with a support team including MA’s, CAN, RN, Techs, Secretaries, and Schedulers
