About The Position

ESM is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and highly professional tutor to service a single student as a "private educator" for the rest of the school year, January through June 2026, with the potential for a 12-month renewal. The family would likely have to make that decision on renewal by April or May. The family is based out of Miami, FL, and the tutor will be expected to be available in person, at the family’s home, between three to five days per week. This tutor will work full-time to guide the educational success of this student while supporting the student's parents with the overall educational guidance required to have a successful year. In particular, this tutor will be responsible for tutoring the student in Analytical Algebra (Algebra II), Biology, Spanish, English, and History. Additionally, the tutor will be responsible for communicating with the parents, mentoring the student through social-emotional development and general life circumstances, advising the student on non-academic pursuits such as extracurricular projects outside of school, coordinating other ESM tutors assigned to support the student online, and other tasks related to managing the overall academic success of the student. Candidates should be excited by the prospect of focusing all of their teaching energy on the development of a single student and must be able to tutor in-person on the previously mentioned subjects for up to 30 hours per week, although additional tutoring work with other ESM Prep/Guidewell Education students is possible. Some evening and weekend hours will be required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree‍ from a Top 25 University
• Strong command of Analytical Algebra (Algebra II), Bio, English, and History, with Spanish a big plus
• 5+ years of teaching and/or tutoring experience in applicable subjects
• Availability to tutor in-person full-time, 3-5 days per week in Miami, FL
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• High executive functioning, communication, and organizational skills
• Willingness to continue working with other Guidewell Education tutoring students, schedule permitting

Nice To Haves

• Strong command of 10th-grade PreCalculus and Chemistry is a big plus for contract renewal

• Annual Salary: $70,000 to $90,000 based on experience and number of subjects covered
